Like Christ during Crisis

What do you do when your friend, peer, student or even family member just snaps and go on a shooting spree? You forgive them. That's right, FORGIVE THEM! As Christians, and even in other religions, we are told to be like our higher power when it comes to treating each other the correct way. In the recent school shooting in Washington, a group of friends were shot by someone they thought they could trust. Shooter Jaylen Fryberg shot 5 people, two of which died, before turning the gun on himself. Among the victims was Fryberg's own cousin, Nate Hatch. Hatch had been shot in the face by his own flesh and blood, yet unlike his cousin, he survived. From the hospital he made the following tweet:
Nate Hatch's tweet from hospital bed.
This tweet warmed the hearts of those countrywide. How many are able and willing to forgive the person that could have killed them? For this, I applaud Hatch for his braveness and for his connection with Christ. Because in this moment, Nate Hatch was truly like Christ. He is an excellent Christian.
